What is the need for Indian associations in US and why non Hindi folks are part of them?
Do the European migrants to US form an EU association?.
As can be clearly seen, the Hindian migrants think every one should be knowing Hindi and think lowly of other non Hindi speakers. (The term Hindian above refers to the people who have that particular mindset, not necessarily those whose mother tongue is Hindi. We know that this is a minor percentage and people who speak 49 different languages are grouped under Hindi)
It is fine during the days when the number of migrants are few, but these days you can easily have your own Tamil, Telugu, Kannada associations.
This split up outside India will help in the long term for making India a more democratic and federal Indian Union in the future. You are no longer living in the Hindi and English colonial setup of India and hence brainwashed into thinking Hindi defines India and are free to form your own groups.

European migrants were mostly Christian or Jewish. So they blended in and just one generation later, they became fully integrated into the so called melting pot. Indians are mostly Hindu and due to skin color, they will never become "Americanized" if you get my drift. So they form Indian associations hoping to at-least feel comfortable in their own skin instead of trying unsuccessfully to blend in. Due to sizable population in the US of different Indian sub groups, there are all kinds of regional language associations.Ponniyin Selvan wrote:Do the European migrants to US form an EU association?.

You are playing by the book. If you do not have facts and logic on your side, insult the person.

Yeah, they could associate using the tag "Hindu" if they are religious. That is what Muslims do. They have various Islamic groupings in US.
Why group under this artificial Indian identity and lose their self respect and bear with ignorant and arrogant Hindians?.
