I wouldn't take the comments of a distraught father who has just lost his daughter and analyze the heck out of it, but he didn't sound very coherent. He says he's not talking about gun control. So what then is he talking about? He wants guards? They had guards in the school.

This must be a particularly difficult time for those who had been unapologetic gun right supporters who have lost loved ones. At least if you are for gun control, you are in a position to say the gun laws of this country took my child. How do you square your loss if that is not an option?

Yeah, I wouldn't hold his incoherence against him given what he is going through (most of us wouldn't be able to hold it together in that situation, much less articulate a proposal). But his proposal doesn't have much merit because the school already had an armed guard. So perhaps he wants even more security guards. But school systems already hire lots of security guards; one report said many large districts have more security guards than counselors. I remember reading somewhere that about half of all public schools already have guards. That must be hard to do given that the shooter is a white supremacist who wanted to cook and eat Obama.

Interesting you say that. On a whatsapp group one guy goes - "Democrats are cause for more Child killings by their support to Planned Parenthood than Republicans did by their vehement support for Gun proliferation"

lol i read another quip to the comment of 'abortions kill more than guns'. It said - well in this shooter's case abortion would have worked.
