What do you think of this?
Anyone who settles in a state in India must learn the local language. Those who do not want to do that have no right to vote there. Let them vote by mail in their hometowns or villages.

all the tamilians i know who live outside TN--in north indian states-- know at least conversational hindi. this is my experience. in this respect, hyderabadi muslims and also many north indians have to learn from tamilians. it is absurd to be born and brought up in a place like bangalore or hyderabad and not have at least a rudimentary understanding of the local language.

chameli -- you are clueless. close to 100% of tamilians who live outside TN speak the local langauge (at least long term residents).

No right to vote. I would like to see those who do not learn Marathi kicked out of the state.

You are nobody to disenfranchise them. If they do not learn the local language, they will face problems if they move around in AP. In Hyderabad itself, one can get by with having a knowledge of Hindustani. Likewise for Bangalore. But not learning the local language is showing disrespect to the local culture and moreover, it is in their own interest to learn the local language if they move around state.
Now that Captain P is dead, and the LTTE has been wiped out, i was expecting you to give up your foolish ideas.

A healthy - or is it 'healdhy'- DEVlopment, na?
