Over the past several days Greek nation was publicly humiliated by Germans and EU. Of course Greeks bought it upon themselves. Even if Greek parliament approves the debt/reform bill, it will remain troubled nation and a paraiah for future investors.

Unfortunately it also causes huge stock fluctuations leasing up our 401ks.

It is a real Greek tragedy. Yes, it may run in Greek streets for years and may be for decades.

The problem is the entire greek population has become addicted to cheap credit, loans, and freebies.

No amount of reform from the Govt - forced by outsiders - is going to do any good until the country itself is deaddicted.

And, we all know addiction is cured only with death - in most cases.

There were a handful of topics but the list is fast depleting.

Perhaps, you can focus on Inglis (I ain;t much interested in it) and you can be a real challenge to Padre....and become a magnet for CHaunties.

This tragedy is now starkly played on the streets of Athens. Lawmakers voted on debt law while Athens was really burning. Reality is more compelling than any novel.

I second this one about Inglis. Particulary when the Ph.D is already planned for 7 years.

Imagine him in parties. Can anyone sneak in a thought sideways while he is there?
Better yet imagine him in his household. Muttering under breath to himself about how to do rasam and sambhar and his wife not giving two hoots about it.

Be it porn-watching MLAs or credit hungry Greeks this man knows it all.

I got a cousin - his dad was a communist-athiest who despised everything "bourgeois" and turned him into a penny pincher par excellence. also read a bunch of glossy covered soviet books and socialist-communist propaganda peddling rags in desh and developed a know-it-all attitude over the years. he's a nice guy and all but can be vexing like our uppili saar.
