Never expected 20 years ago, the world would change so rapidly. For the better.

Met a 61 yr old woman yesterday who was doing her Masters in Microbiology. I was so impressed. It's never too late to study, I guess. I was wondering if I was too old to get back to doing a masters. I guess not.

Thanks for the links. Will check if there's something interesting for me.

Harvard and MIT are offering free online courses to anyone in the world.

May be the IITs in India could do it too. In the recent past I've watched some IIT lectures on technical subjects on youtube, and I find them to be really good in explaining complex things in an easily understood way.

the very best advanced undergrad/first year grad level courses on QM to be found on the internet are by prof balakrishnan of IIT-M. i cannot sing enough praises of the man, his delivery style and absolute lucidity. he has been my best teacher ever in a formal course and i found him in my 40s! i have never met him.

why would taking linguistics, sanskrit, or shakespeare require you to be present in the same room as the instructor?
