[jermiah mburuburu] Empty [jermiah mburuburu]

Post by Guest Mon May 14, 2012 10:47 am

i am reading india unbound and am a quarter way into it. i am really enjoying it. gurcharan das is quite damning in his criticism of nehru's experiments with fabian socialism and i agree with das's analysis (particularly of the intellectual traps these UK educated liberals fell into). texas for the (rather old) recommendation.

i want to read his elephant paradigm next. have you read it? if yes, what do you think of it?

boobsie, you won't have a serious discussion with me until you stop:

1. performing your caste duties: lying, slandering, and cheating;

2. being a sycophant ("lol c!" x 10^6 and "lol pp!" x 10^6);

3. bragging about your wealth and power by displaying photos of your corpulent self, your sagging boobs, the exotic food you eat (chicken chowmein?) and the sink on your verandah which you received for your dowry. that works only in b.i.m.a.r.u.

4. referring to random southern indian women who don't know of your existence as your "bhabi."

are you serious? texas to you for making me finally understand that your exhaustive knowledge of hindu castes, their duties and functions is gleaned from only two sources, (i) india unbound, and (ii) sulekha coffeehouse.

Oh. Now I know where 'bhabhi' came from in my song thread. What's the backstory?

isnt it obvious? granny wants access to a hindi speaking tranny's Thing. trouble is the Thing comes with a small ballpark frank and baked beans if you catch my drift.

and this uncalled-for familiarity - calling a random woman who does not know of his existence his bhabhi - is quintessentially northindian, creepy, and funny.

one other thing: you won't have a serious discussion with me until you have an interesting thought of your own, and find your own way of expressing it.
