you took the words right out of my mouth. but to be fair to the kids, many come from broken or single parent homes where the parents have no time to discipline kids. but the super-sanctimonious psychologists and assorted quacks do need the stick.

Yeah, but schools need to fill in the void where parents are unwilling or incapable of disciplining their children. Society as a whole needs to stop mollycoddling its young. Zero tolerance of adolescent adn teenage waywardness can go a long way in curbing future criminality.

They should discipline the children in other ways (detention, sanctions for instance) and involve the parents ASAP if things are not brought under control. If they lay their hands on my kid, I will raise hell.
