Anyway, healthcare is by no means a resolved issue. Remember Roe vs Wade? It is not a done deal yet after 40 years. The opponents still find some interpretation or other to beat it with every 3 to 5 years all the way to the supreme court.
Same thing will happen in this case as well - until the man on the ground is nearly unanimous in its favor and sees the benefit. Expect Palinists to keep complaining about something or other to the courts, Congressional republicans to withhold/tighten funds to some segments on some pretext, and the issue to crop up every presidential election - not to mention the issue beaten regularly at the state level.

what is interesting is that every one of the dissenters on the court in the ACA case is a roman catholic. i bring this is up not because religion should have any influence on jurisprudence, but on a basic point which was brought out in the oral argument as a social norm and obligation to our fellow man. and the guy who objected to the obligation is one of the most visible catholics on the court!
somehow he wants to protect the human embryo even if it is a mass of undifferentiated cells at all costs, but the minute it is ejected out the womb alive, he doesn't give a rat's ass. i don't think i'll ever get that.

I have a major - major gripe against the Jesusites. These fallas scream to death when it comes to protecting the "unborn" but the moment it is un-unborn, they give rats ass for its next 100 years, saying it is all about individual right, choice, and freedom.
I have a feeling they are this way mainly because of a hangover from the slave era - when the slaves were encouraged to "breed" to provide a lasting supply of slaves for the master.
