Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi preached nonviolence,

In 1939 Congress government under his friend Rajanji lathi charged and shot at anti-Hindi agitators. Why did not he condemn it? Why did he not ask Rajaji to stop? Why did he not go on fast in front of Rajaji's house?>

It seems Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is a hypocrite.
