india NZ
did anyone watch it? i am still too shell shocked with the idea that this is a team without both dravid and laxman and can't get myself to tune in. looks like india did very well despite rain interruptions.

I was very disinterested due to the same reason. Pujara's century and the spinners bowling well together is a positive sign but sterner tests lie ahead.

Re: india NZ
Cricinfo says that india may resort to turningwickets against NZ, ENGLAND, and AUSTRALIA. That is to give back to eng and aus for providing fast and bouncy pitches.
Many from those countries are all ready complaining. I do not remember reading too many complaints about pitches in australia and england.
I prefer a mix of tracks to provide opportunity to all types of bowlers. But securing home advantage seems to be ok to all.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong in preparing a spinning track either. Why must we give up home advantage just to please visitors?

before preparing spinning tracks, India should develop some world class spinners - first. in the process, they will ruin the few medium pacers India has produced so far.
I read a lot about this Umkut Chand - Delhi guy, who is touted as better than Gambhir...
Perhaps, Sehwag needs to watch his back.

Hmmm if anyone needs a place in the Final Eleven of India, all he needs is a statement from one $kar "Mr. X is a great guy and is a class batsman. Class is permanent, but his shape and size and form are not!" Lo and behold he will be in the team for next zillion years playing $kar, $kar jr and even $kar III.
Moral :- take $kar for a treat and pamper him to get a statement. Note to cheeka of BCCI selection committee. DO not touch God. If you do, your hands (aka career) will be burnt. But always admire aussies for taking daring decisions like leaving Steve Waugh!

Tendulkar came up with a slightly different answer: “As long as there is a reason to wake up with a reason in the morning, it makes sense in continuing (playing cricket). The day I don’t enjoy wielding a bat in my hands, I will think otherwise. But that moment hasn’t come as yet. When I will get that feeling, I will confirm on that,” he said.
Forget scores, fielding abilities, etc.... the selection criterion for TenDucker is "his own decision to play or not"
