just as contradictory to see any catholic clergy standing with folks who believe firmly in capital punishment.

Re: Anyone see a contradiction here?
I was watching Mr. Romney on - Meet the Press this morning and I see a big contradiction here..
Romney says he won't repeal all of Obamacare
http://news.yahoo.com/romney-says-wont-repeal-obamacare-130334655--election.html
He has reversed his position on Health Care Reform- so called "Obama Care" again, likes parts of it now, and wants to keep them!
*How does one keep the "preexisting condition" clause- and not have an individual mandate? That means people will purchase Insurance only after becoming sick..which the Insurance Companies can't reject! Even as a critic of many of the things Insurance companies do..this does not make much sense!

hahaha. the answer for mitt romney is always blowin in the wind. he wets his finger and holds it up to see which way the wind if blowin. that's his position. there is no plan, no philosophy, but only a burning desire to get into an office papa couldn't.

When mormons can claim to care for blacks, catholic bishops can easily opt for pro-choice. It is just like Mullahs talking about peace and iSlam claiming to treat women equally.
Life is full of (apparent) contradictions.

Congratulations to Romney on acquiring a third position on the same issue. First he advised Obama to model the ACA after his law in MA. Then he promised to repeal it. Now he promises to keep parts to it. If you don't like something Romney wants to do, all you have to do is wait until he develops a new position.Maria S wrote:*How does one keep the "preexisting condition" clause- and not have an individual mandate? Before the Supreme Court ruled on the ACA, it was a hot topic of discussion whether the pre-existing conditions portion of ACA could stand if the individual mandate was thrown out. Insurance companies wanted the individual mandate in order to make up for the losses due to the pre-existing conditions part of the law. Bill Clinton was right; Romney is no longer relying on arithmetic when he comes up with various plans.

If you are looking for contradictions, you need look no further than Willard Romney. He specializes in holding multiple, mutually contradictory positions on every major topic.Hellsangel wrote:The Catholic Archbishop at a pro-choice platform.
