There is lot of noise about a rape in Delli. A manipur site asks why no sucgh noise of 100s of rapes in manipur.

It is an absolutely heart wrenching sight. My heart goes out to the women in Manipur.

When a woman is raped far away by our soldiers, there is no noise from the women's organizations in Delhi.

I can only make a guess about this inconsistency you pointed out.

When women are assaulted near home makes people afraid for their daughters who commute to school or their workplace and have to deal with thugs on the streets.

Human beings are not shaken up when things happen a 1000 miles away.

The same is true for America also.

People shed tears for victims of mass killings in their country.

But there was hardly an outcry about American soldiers killing women and children in Iraq and Afghanistan.
