Will she make it to 2013

She woke up fine on December 16th.
Happily she went to watch the movie with her friend.
I'm sure she must have discussed New Year Eve plans with her friend during those 3 hours at the movie.
She must have felt great stepping out after the movie on December 16th.

Little did she knew about what's coming ahead. ** Do We? **
Got brutally raped and violated by 6 men.
Struggling for life since that day.
Shifted from her country to save face for her government if she dies.
Multiple organs failure on December 28th (LATEST) and she's on the verge from going to gone.

She can still come back but will she be able to make to 2013?

Life can change so fast and yet we plan for decades. Smile

3 more days left in 2012 and many many things could happen before we say Happy New Year 2013.

Quite sad..and hope that the young lady makes it.

It is quite odd that she was sent to Singapore for treatment, unless it was her family's decision to do so -and they have every right to make that decision. *Otherwise, it leads naturally to perceptions that the best intensive/critical medical care is not available in India (when it is) or a patient cannot be "safe/protected" even in a high-profile case like this..which is distressing.

It must be a political decision. She was becoming a focal point for all the demonstrations and politician's daily reports. Now that she is off to Singapore, suddenly everything is slowly being forgotten.

When it comes to sweeping dirt under the carpet, Indians are the best.

Shift the girl outside India to better treatment facility on govt expense. * Get pat on the back *
Shift focus away and demonstrators out from India Gate. * Another Win *
If she dies outside India, blame doctors there. * Another Win *
If she gets better and comes home healthy, accolades for GoI for a great decision they made. * Another Win *
The longer she stays out the better for GoI.

I'm amazed to see Shinde calling the shots on a medical decisions, pulling apart all suggestions made by Safdarjung hospital doctors.

one thing is clear -- the govt. and the bureaucracy has overacted in this case. the public cannot be blamed for overreaction. it is ironical that the govt. and the bureaucracy started overreacting, or enacting the absurd theater, after aam admi or idiot kejriwal stepped in. idiots can push the buttons of this government.

Actually, the Govt. has NOT acted at all - in the right sense. The daily rapes continue, the cops continue their corruption, and the influential continue to convert Delhi and India into Rapistan.

If I were in her shoes, I'd rather die than re-live the nightmare. What kind of life will it be? Cannot go back to finish her medical degree considering how badly she is wounded.

She was happy on December 16th morning, raped, beaten and now died on December 29th (India).
