I'd add -- to the separatist in our midst -- Don't drink and ride on a crazed bull; conversely, don't let the bull drink and ride on your crazy behind.

the separatist, i distinctly recall, had posted, "why are some people in this board opposed to the existence of pakistan?" it's gone now -- the separatist deleted it i think.

What is mutter sankranti? The word is makara sankranti.
Question: the hindu claims that people in tn do not meat during sankranti. Is that true? In ap, no meat is eaten on the first two days of the festival but third day is the designated day for meat eating. What is the ground reslity in tn?

Ok. Wiki tells us makara indicates sun moving to makara rasi or transitioning to uttarayana
Or travel north. It is amazing how many different ways people celebrate this festival.
Kite flying in gujarat to cock fights and bommala koluvu ( display of dolls) in ap to jallikattu (bull fight) in tn to dip in ganga sagar in bengal to kumbh mela in prayag.

amazing, isn't it? the harvest festival is celebrated in the north-east too under different names. the tusu parab i speak of comprises of singing and dancing (and drinking).truthbetold wrote:
