well i was sort of attempting to answer my own question from yesterday.

perhaps mrs.banerjee feels like some others on these pages that the naatya shastra is all there is to BN and the work that the tanjore quartet did is just add mere details, sort of like icing on an already fully formed cake. i was trying to imagine a dancer who held these views and i think i've discovered her. what do you think?

I think you got the discovery part correct:) Thanks for the link. Me and my daughter (3rd year into BN and also CM) had fun watching it. I am planning to ask my daughter's teacher on origins of BN if I meet her this weekend.

IMHO, I donot think one can get a reasonable view/argument from a person who has an agenda..
