I caught few words while driving about some new facenook thing. Is it of any significance? Are we going to be forced by social pressure into buying new facebook phones?

everyone wants us to start whatever we do online, with/at them..meaning google wants us to make google.com our homepage and FB wants it too.

this FB phone is not a phone but a FB homescreen app. you can use FB from anywhere in your phone, chat even when you're using other apps that kinda thing

oh and its only avl on android phones for now (ithink)

Facebook wants Android users to use their homescreen app. I won't bother because I am not active on Facebook. Here are the results of a poll on an Android website I follow.

thanks for the update. i will blissfully remain ignorant of these changes.
i do have a real story touching Facebook. one of these days i will post it.
