and i hate it when some people say "kitte" instead of "kitne". if you say "kitte me liya ye?" and if you are standing on my property, i kick your backside with a might impact of 23 newtons. in any other place, i curse under my breath.

i think this word "meko" will be right up there on this list of irritating words in a few years.

"Kitte me liya ye" is a commonly heard sentence in hyd. Can't help if you don't like it.

Haha..look at you two gripe about further corruption of a pidgin language. Lest we forget, Hindi / khadiboli/ Hindustani, was itself a corrupt pidgin born of the unholy liaison between Prakrit / Ardha-Magadhi etc with the invaders' Persian, Arabic and Turkish tongues.

And no matter how much that pidgin is Sanskritized, its pidgin roots will never go away. In the nature of all pidgins, it will absorb newer words from other languages. Accept it as a fact of life. Resistance is futile. All your bases are belong to us.

No. Every language evolves but the pidgin bit specifically refers to the origins of the language. Pidgins are artificial creations expressly devised for communication between the locals and the foreigners. It is entirely possible that some of the extant languages are also pidgins but since the origins go too far back in time, we can never know that. Hindi / Hindustani OTOH is too recent a language for its pidgin origins to be forgotten.

What possesses her to write like this in chat rooms?

Why doesn't she write "4 u" instead of "for you" but mauls "time" to "tym"?
