this one has to be in the running for that title. this is the first test of the 1979 series. prasanna had retired i think. i thought bedi had retired, but turns out i was wrong. he played in the next three tests but not this one. chandra is clearly past his prime, venkat's bowling has no bite (he is also saddled with the captaincy in this series), ghavri's long run up is comical given the military medium he bowls, mohinder bowls his dobblers that aren't particularly effective on this pitch. the only guy who has some bite is a young kapil dev. venkat is so desperate to get wkts, he even gives chetan chauhan a bowl with terrible results.
