Honeydew-Kiwifruit Smoothie

yummy....just 1/2 hour before my hot yoga class. makes a world of a difference.
honeydew, granny smith apples, kiwi, icecubes and lemon juice in a blender = bliss on a hot summer day. try it.

sounds delicious. but some of us can't afford a blender, so:
1.5 cups 2% milk, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1.5 teaspoon instant coffee, 3 cubes of ice, shake it up in this. FUNTASTIC.

i don't like cold coffee. in fact, i drink one cup of coffee a day these days, no sugar. BTW, reco for a slow cooker please? TIA.

Cold coffee without sugar is like dosa without salt. Makes no sense. Either you eat/drink it RIGHT or just don't. These half assed concoctions make no sense at all.
Get a Hamilton Beach slow cooker. Mine's a few years old and works just great.

i like having blueberries with greek yogurt. any suggestions on what more to add before i put the blueberries and yogurt in a blender (to try and make a smoothie)?

i don't like cold coffee, period. i was talking about having hot coffee without suger. lots of people do that. thanks for the reco on slow cookers. been looking for one for some time now to make stews. I had some daal makhani[sp?] over the weekend and it was amazing. When asked, the host said that he used a slow cooker. got curious and did a Google search for the recipe.

You can't do daal makhani right without a slow cooker, that is true.

it has to be fluid enough for you to sip it, so you might add coconut water. i also add a banana, soaked almonds, and red raspberries - 3 per 10 blueberries cuz they are a bit sour and pungent and pack more flavor than blueberries so you don't need so many of them. actually at this time of the year you can go berry-picking in any park or backyard in the city.
