ThOndamuthur is a satellite area of Coimbatore - much like ThOndiarpet in madras.

Goundars are upper caste hindus and they control Coimbatore/Salem/Erode/Namakkal region. They probably have some 40 Goundar MLAs in the Assembly.

NOTHING will happen to the 300 Goundars or the cases. Besides, I doubt there is any caste angle to that. It is more likely the town bus had been rerouted through a new development, and the people protested. The media gives it a caste twist as in any locality some caste or other will be a dominant one.
