There was a news report a while back, that as a part of a new taxation/financial queries related agreement with Switzerland, India governed by the UPA-II regime, gave up its rights to ask for any investigation into accounts prior to Jan 1 2012. Makes one wonder why such a clause was inserted into the agreement.
