Amartya Sen: Gujarat riots much more disturbing than 1984 riots

While describing as "absolute shame" the fact that those responsible for the 1984 riots had not been brought to judgment, he sought to differentiate between the 1984 riots and those that occurred in Gujarat under the watch of chief inister Modi.

Sen argued that Congress leaders, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi, who were fighting elections today, were not the people responsible for the anti-Sikh riots. No one had accused them of that, whereas Modi was the chief minister when the riots took place.

Moreover, he said that the anti-Sikh riots were not something that fitted into the Congress philosophy. "There is no philosophy of killing Sikhs in the Congress," he told NDTV in an interview.

He is right...first time 250 hindus were massacred (in addition to the 80 burnt in the train) by the muslims for the first time since partition - that too in the hindu country.

So, since Modi was in charge at the time in Gujarat, he is clearly an incompetent person and hence ineligible to become PM since we cannot have an incompetent person running the country. Do you at least agree with this?

I have a feeling that Amartya Sen will soon be in trouble because of the new Lokpal bill. He has been a crony of the sikular CONmen and there may be some unhealthy deals between CONartists and the megalomaniac.
