According to researchers, the technique is being developed to help create medicines and therapies for patients in a more cost-effective manner. Eventually, genetically engineered animals might be used to produce beneficial enzymes for such maladies as hemophilia.

awesome, that's exactly what happens in sherlock holmes's "the hound of the baskervilles." maybe from now they can routinely sell glow-in-the dark plus hypoallergenic french poodles. you think your kid would want that or just a regular dog?
