Sarah Smith is a PhD student in electrical engineering at the University of Rochester, with a concentration in musical acoustics and signal processing. Her past work has focused on bowed string modeling and transient characterization in audio. Sarah has also served as a teaching assistant in the ECE department for courses in audio and music engineering and electronic circuits. She received her B.A. in physics and music from Cornell University and holds a M.A. in music, science, and technology from Stanford University.
