This sucks. Norway has been a force for peace in various parts of the world (including in our own backyard in Sri Lanka.) And it has been a welcoming home for refugees from the tyrannies of the Muslim world.

To their credit, terrorists do not discriminate between good countries and aggressive countries. As Indo pointed out, they like soft targets.

It teaches Norwegians a lesson, if you keep your doors open, they will come and get you. Norway, like Netherlands, will tighten the screws to prevent re occurrence of such incidents unlike certain nation that carries 1.2 billion people's responsibility but is only good at faking security.

This will provide more fodder to gun rights advocates in the US. Norway does have strict gun laws, including a total ban on automatic weapons in the hands of civilians. It seems the suspect used automatic weapons in his massacre.

Not sure what grudge you carry against India (other than the crime it committed of being your country of birth), but before you spout empty rhetoric, it would help if you could pause and think this through for one second: what is a country - any country - to do when some of its own citizens, without any past record, use locally made bombs to kill their fellow citizens? What screws do you tighten and what doors do you close on your own citizenry in a democracy? {Pls respond in less than 500 words}

Reminds me of a co-Saamiyaar - needless to say a 25 yr old blondie. Has 3 dogs in her house and adopted a 12 yr old sickly Dog recently. She takes more time off going to the Vets.
