Yeah. Much junior role though. And my guess is very low comp. Bloodsuckers. I am bad at making tough decisions. Let's see how it goes.

Look for other contract roles outside. IMO, there are many opening up in the market now. Even if you get a marginally better one, you can use it to bargain.

I think you did the right thing.... The fact that they want you to be a permanent shows they like your work and want you. You could have said (on seeing the low #) that you have some financial commitments and would prefer to continue on contract for this year. And, look for other positions.
