OMG just got stood up

And to make it worse, by an ex colleague.

We discovered we are in the same company. After like 9 years. Actually I found him on intranet. Funny because we are on fb too but didn't know we are in the same company.

So anyway he said we should catch up on lunch as we are in different buildings. Set up a meeting for earlier this month. Then he cancelled once. For the second time I got sick and didn't come. Then he rescheduled again.

Finally we were to meet. I came here promptly as I go no life anyway. Checked in. Then waited outside about 10 minutes. Then wondered if I'm at the right place. I am.

Felt stupid for not checking with him on chat first. Also don't have his number. Now that I'm here I might eat as well. So ordered a mango shake and grilled chicken.

But was great catching up on the old gossip. I got very updated today about many people, and I am sure he did too.

Ours was a very unique [first for both] company and project. A small but reasonably bigshot IT setup. And so so so many scandals and tragedies took place in that little joint, both then and later, that we were sitting today and wondering - now that we all were in a relatively drama free company - how weird that so much happened with 200 odd people. Actually him, not me. In my last gig, I saw a lot of drama but didn't tell him that of course.

Guess jaha drama waha Tracy.

my last visit to india, friend(A) calls up and tells me to meet at a particular chowk. we were going to meet first time after a gap of a few years. I waited for 1.5 hours, he finnally showed up, no sorry nothing....i didnt want to get into it and hear the same "this is india boss", but when we reached another friend's (B) house, B lashed out at A for wasting his and my time.....ofc we had a good talk after that with beer and food.
