Modi also told his supporters that they should stop that.

May be, MT should stop Shankara Rao from building a temple for her in Hyderabad. Being a Catholic, she should be more concerned - she doesn't want to go to hell, does she? Her son should also tell his followers that they shouldn't make him the PM because he is Nehru's great grandson. They should instead ask him to work as a municipal clerk.

Modi asked his supporters to stop it on the morning of March 23rd ( Indian time ) after many people had made a hue and cry about it. He was busy lapping up the adulation comparing him to Lord Shiva till people like the Sankaracharya said this was unacceptable.
