Here is a guy who was responsible for dividing AP and giving Hyderabad and all its revenue to Telangana. I bet there were not many people in Vijayawada who were listening to him. The few who were there were probably giggling thinking about Amrita. If he did to T what he did to AP, the TRS goons would have broken his bones.

My own sense is that there were others in the party who took the decision to divide AP but as a loyal soldier of the party he agreed to become the fall guy when things went awry. Initially he had been opposed to partition of AP on the ground that past experience has shown that if the party in power in a state goes ahead and divides that state then it suffers politically.
