I think Modi should have focused on whether the person has the skills and ex[erience to lead a ministry.

How come you did not object to the White, Italian barmaid-turned UPA Chairmwoman MT Sonia Mata ji ? After all she is the wife of the killer of 10,000 Sikhs and one who desecrated Akhal Takht.

She was MP chief minister for quite a few years and put Chouhan as her replacement when she became Union minister.
Looks like Modi has been strict about "corruption-freeness" and Uma is one such. Most important, she is the VHP face/quota in the cabinet. Finally, Uma is more easily controllable inside the cabinet than outside as she is an Advani follower.
Ram vilas paswan - is there bcz of Modi's commitment to the alliance. That scoundrel and sneaky rat Paswan.
