What does Vachaspati Mishra of 9th century AD fame think? Did he prefer kaupeenams or langots? Please discuss pros and cons of both.

Is kaupeenam = langot = kaccha (one of the 5Ks of Sikhism)?

I thought kaupeenam is like a thong / g-string, while langot is a little more wholesome. Kinda like a boxers or briefs question for 9th century gentlemen.

I see what you mean. I just saw a picture of kaupeenam. Someone might come up with the bright idea and make it a summer beach fashion clothing (with a roaring tiger or lion print on it) for men.
