i heard shades of different ragams, but the majority of the song seems to be based on kApi.

don't think so. though megh (also known as megh malhar) happens to be a favorite raga of mine.

i don't know hindi film songs based on megh though. i am sure there must be some.

impy - bhupali is the hindustani equivalent of mohanam.
