I did not read anything about ISI role in this incident. But it is a huge tragedy for USA. Any loss is hurtful. In addition if you lose some of the best prepared and most effective units of your force, it hurts badly. Their loss will be felt on the field.

I won't be surprised at all if there's an ISI angle to this. But then again the US forces would be stupid if they were sharing their operational plans with ISI that is known to be helping the Taliban. They would be better off eliminating the middle man and directly telling the Taliban that they are coming in a helicopter at such and such time.
