Ratan Tata.

Current Ratnas CNR Rao and Amartya Sen comenting on controversial issues, it is not necessary, the nominees should be clear of controversies.

This man has done enough for the Indian economy without the greediness and arrogance of Mukesh Ambani, Adani, etc...

Possibly. But, I doubt the common man on the street knows about him.

I agree both Ratan Tata and Swaminathan are Bharat Ratna material. Didn't Swaminathan already get Magsaysay Award awarded by Philippines?

Exactly the criteria used by our politicians and their Govts. And we have MGR/NTR/Kanshi Ram getting ahead of the well deserved ones.
