A closer scrutiny of Indian student traffic flow provides some remarkable insights. For instance, Hyderabad (26220) was issued the most F-1 visas from India (nearly 30,000 when combined with Secunderabad). This is almost as much as Mumbai (17294), Pune (5551) and Delhi (8728) combined. In fact, there are more students in the US from undivided Andhra Pradesh (by a long shot when you add the 2000 each from Vijayawada and Visakapatnam) than any other state in India. Chennai (9141) and Bangalore (8835) are running neck and neck in F-1 recipients, with Ahmedabad and Vadodara together accounting for about 9000 F-1s. Incidentally, Seoul and Beijing topped the list of cities issued the most F-1 student visas with around 50,000 each.

All it means is Andhra and Telengana have tons of 4th rate engineering schools, and the job market stinks - except Hyderabad, while Dowry rates demand the guys get a Phoren degree. Worsening the situation is the number of women doing engineering in Andhra-telengana is equal or more than the men.

Finally, The area covered by Hyderabad is vast -Andhra, telengana, northern /central karnataka, Orissa and MP.

Did Propagandhi tell you all these made up stories, and concluded that he is morally/aesthetically superior to an average telugu guy.

check who got the highest rankings and most number of seats in national competetive exams and IIT entrance exam.

But inconvenient truths should be ignored.

A few thousand - dedicated and coached - hardworking guys is not representative of the 300,000 others.

This is like saying Look at all the 6,000 IIT JEE guys... that shows how all the million engineering students are super smart. Other than the first 20,000 engineers in any of these states, the rest are 3rd rate guys who could not get a job in a good company in India.

Hyderabadis or telugus come here and work hard. No gives them a free ride. What is wrong with young people taking risk and going to new areas to seek better lives? Is it not what democratic and progressive society about?

What is your problem with those young men?

That is the new benchmark, now? Those 3rd rate guys seem to be doing alright in the US, may be generous US job requirements helping them dumb guys (like me) survive. In that case many more Andhraites should come to the US on F-1 visas as they won't be able to find a decent job in India, don't you think so?

Uppili has data supporting his claims that dowry rates go up for the guys with a US/foreign degree. And it is very easy for them get admission in an US university since they're the only tribe that produces fake degrees and fudge their qualifications unlike their counterparts from other states.

So the 3rd rate telugu students who did their engineering from the 4th rate engineering schools in AP and T and who couldn't get a good job in India are able to crack the GRE and get admitted to the US universities. How is that possible? Are the US universities 5th rated?

assuming uppili's illusionary facts are true, the young men who came here are paying their tuition and if they survive USA market forces and make a living, it is a tribute to their grittiness. If they go back and get bigger dowry, that is just a side story. It does not affect usa economy or usa people.

So i am still struggling to understand uppili's disapproval of hyd engineers.
