The picture above is Amazing! How did the Yazidi-Hindu interaction take place ? OR did a south Indian laborer in Iraq paint the mural ? The dress worn by the Indian woman in the picture looks to be  of 19th/20th century vintage.

The syrian region has some connection to India long back thru trade (Sadhguru also mentioned some historical connections). But the picture looks recent and the l remember having some what similar lamp back home. And the girl in the picture and the outfit/flowers?/saree/ear-ring looks more of Southern Indian...

Yezidis are a proto-vedic community that believes in reincarnation along the lines of dharmic communities. Their rituals resemble the worship of Hindu deity Murugan (Melek Taus), As a kid Melek Taus traveled around the universe on a peacock. Something I leaned from Yezidis.
