The swank vehicle will cost Rs 10 crore. The specially designed bus which will have all modern facilities will be used during Chandrababu's tours in districts.

The logistics involved in the 2,000-km plus walkathon, slated to conclude on Republic Day, are huge, as is the cost. An air-conditioned bus, which serves as a house on wheels, is only one among the large convoy of vehicles that provides food, water and shelter to the nearly 300 people, including commandos and ordinary policemen, who accompany him every day.

He's handled it well. Logically speaking, it's silly for a CM to pretend to be the site supervisor of a disaster recovery operation. But if he hadn't done it, he would have been accused of callous disregard for people's hardships etc. Hence the need for this drama. Full marks for PR-savviness.

Modi is very good at this too - has a good eye for optics and knows what plays well on TV. Very refreshing departure from distant, tone-deaf (and blind) politicians in the past.

Most AP fellows in IT and Pharma are working in Hyderabad and there is no real reason why they will move back to the coast (unless KCR becomes a maniac again and opens his foul mouth on a regular basis).

What reputation that you keep gloating about sir? Do the IAS officers take oath (when they take up the job) that they put in 20 hour days or is it mandated? Only an idiot manager/boss would harass his staff.

I can understand about them needing to work longer hours during disasters like this but around the year? Did CBN provide those IAS officers & Mayor with 10 crore luxury bus each so they can work as hard as him or did he give them a week off? as he appears to have taken over their responsibilities.

He is not asking them to work for free. The DA for those helping in Vizag was increased as an incentive. There is nothing wrong in fostering a positive work culture.

Is slavery positive work culture? My point was not about current situation in Vizag rather about your broad statement that he makes them work hard, what does that even mean!
