Just found the Wiki entry on ZX Spectrum and went down memory lane. This was the first computer I ever saw and on which I learnt programming. Amazing what all those guys managed to build using that utterly laughable 48K of RAM.

i forgot which one we used at college but it looked somewhat like that computer. we added A to B to derive C on that computer.

When in India we found the same machine was used by DRDO (Some govt org for space research I think). It was a paper demonstrated at instrument society of india at Cochin or some other place. We were amazed that this computer could be actually used in space research!

commodore 64[the US counterpart to this spectrum] is fondly talked about at the PMTMs at my workplace and the average age in that gethering is 50.



just saying....



but but but, look at the motherboard on that one! wiki...looks like a complicated blueplan of a futuristic society:-)
