i couldn't buy ukadiche modak (sweet, steamed dumplings, if you will) yesterday. the guy who promised me that he would have them ready for me ditched me at the last moment. i had to buy besan laddoo instead. of course, i will now compensate for this lost opportunity (to eat some super sweet modaks) by buying several of them tomorrow.
