Bihar: Catchup effort likely to fail Empty Bihar: Catchup effort likely to fail

Post by truthbetold Sun Nov 01, 2015 5:31 pm

BJP tried to redesign its Bihar campaign midway  in October.  After 4th round, there are claims of a recovery.

My two cents. Give Modi some credit for making an effort to control the wild elements of BJP ( who were actually emulating his old successful gameplan from early gujarat days). But he closed the barn door after horse fled the barn. Too little too late. BJP cannot
do horrible things like lynching on beef rumor one week and then expect people to forget that in a month just because they claim to be nice again. Add to that the constant abuse of muslims and challenging the real sacred cow of Indian politics, reservation.

BJP is likely to lose Bihar elections. They deserve to lose the elections. Indian people gave modi a chance despite his past history. He was expected to control those extreme elements within his troops. He gave a weak performance. Loss of Bihar will have a long term impact on Rajya sabha where major reforms are getting bogged down.

His ability to lead India to a better economic future is dimmed because of his hesitancy to deal with extremists with in his own party. Modi needs to eliminate old modi imitators to give himself a chance.

are we talking about the same guy who kept raising the specter of Lalu and Nitish taking away reservations from OBCs and dalits and giving it to muslims in a bid to inject communalism into the Bihar Electorate? His right hand man Amit Shah went around Bihar claiming that there will be celebrations in Pakistan if BJP loses (as if Lalu and Nitish are Pakistani agents).

If Bihar picks Lalu, then it shows their intellect and they get what they deserve. The state will be looted and Lalu clan will be entrenched for 2 decades. They would not get any special package as they would have voted against any special package by turning against BJP. Good for them and let the southern states spend more on police and security.

Uppili,

Nitish is no slouch when it comes to development and governing a state. Indian politics are such that they pushed Nitish and Lalu together. If Grand alliance wins, anti BJP vote will combine to combat them.

Fear of danger to personal or family security triumphs over future economic growth. BJP created a crisis in the mind of muslims and lower classes. This is a classic case of snatching defeat from a highly predictable massive victory.

There is a silver lining to every dark cloud. If Lalu-Nitish win, BJP will show it as an anti-hindu coalition bent on destroying Bharath.

Nitish is no slouch, but without the horses to run his political cart, he will be just as dead, like it happened during the last 2 years.

The Chief Convict Lalu will rape Bihar and wait for Nitish to die to take over JD(U).

Bihar is dead.

*ahem* whole India has been dead for a year and half. How can a state in a country which is already dead can die again?

CD

Only you and Jagan and rahul and sonia are down and out. Rest of India is alive and working hard. Try coming out of jealous rage and you and jagan may realize what living is.
