good governance vs pseudo secularism Empty good governance vs pseudo secularism

Some of pseudo secularists on this board argued, after bihar elections,  that secularism is more important than corruption or good governance.

Chennai floods are a dark remainder of the need to have professional govt service employees working in a well governed state to create working public work systems over the long term.

Corruption from any political party (national, regional, left, right or any other type) will eat into governmental structure and make it vulnerable to natural calamities and human initiated calamities.

Let us see if any one is honest enough to learn from these events and see the importance of good governance above pseudo secularism.

To summarize: "All fukularsikulars are corrupt & All chaddies aren't"  Hmmm... Looks like your logic is flawed.

Not really.

The failed in governance parties like Rahul/Sonia Congress, miserable Laloo's RJD, Can't govern BSP and SP, your favorite corruption king jagan led YSR cpngress and cpm all use pseudo secularism and minority pandering to fool people and buy votes. It is not surprising that poor people fall for those tricks due to their immediate need to satisfy surviva needs.

However pseudo secular intellectuals are educated and should be able to see through the machinations of these parties. Instead of denying them breathing room, these groups provide excuses to the parties to cover their failed governance.

Only a fool will suggest that politicians are the root cause of corruption. While politicians should shoulder their share of blame, corruption is ingrained in Indians DNA and is rampant at every level. What's shameful is that a civil servant will not be his retirement benefits till he bribes his fellow servant or a traveler that bribes the Railway employee to steal a berth or the police service which is notorious for corruption, the so called urbane, educated. Instead we speak as if only politicians are responsible for this menace.

Yet you would support the same bunch of corrupt politicians to gain power by using pseudo secular rhetoric.

Strawman argument as usual. First of all, nobody said this. Secondly, BJP did not represent the party of good governance in the Bihar elections at all.

How can it be good governance when the party didn't even have a candidate for the position of Chief Ministership - who will actually eventually govern the state - but instead ask voters to blindly vote for the party of 56-inches and his fat henchman and for safeguarding the cow??

Yeah. Biharis rejected baahari politicians. Instead, theyh voted for barbecued beef, corruption and an extremely brilliant Bihari - Pappu.
