Good.. Fight by non Hindi folks to convert India into a real republic and not just a Hindi republic is trending in Twitter across India.

you are not after a real republic. if you cannot get a non-hindi republic, you're willing to throw it all away and get your separate country.
a regional language status is not acceptable to you even if means you get to be a part of big united nation.

what will happen is very few of you haters will get to live in a place where you have more control than central govt but you will continue to live under India's and i'll use hindi word here - chatrachaya. unless they send you to live in srilanka.

other non-hater tamils will live in india. edit - united india. forever.

Like 'hindu', Hindi is also a geographic appellation. Everyone in India, by definition, is Hindu and speaks Hindi. If you don't like it, go to Pakistan!

twitter hashtag trending, what does that mean that ppl registered on twitter are complaining about their pet non-issue? slightly OT: twitter is floundering and maybe be sold soon, wonder if FB or GOOG is gonna buy them. it's a better fit with FB if they can find a way to integrate all three social interaction platforms: whataspp, facebook and twitter they'll rule the smartphone usage, locking up all the non-search advertising dollars.

It gives the pulse of the twitter using crowd. I don't think the politicians take the social media in lighter vein. They are spending time and money on the new media to woo the twitteratis and FB users.

isn't it a historical fact that the persians coined the words 'hindu', 'hind (or hindustan)', and 'hindi' for the people, the land, and the language of the geographical area south of the Indus river?
