My father loved Nikhil Banerjee. I was brought up on Ravi Shankar. Literally, through all night concerts, since age of 6 months. Followed him everywhere. Must say, Ravi Shankar scored with more women than all of this sites members combined.

that's the general opinion from the grapevine, but since she confined herself to a life of reclusiveness and there aren't any extant recordings, it's hard to make any kind of judgment. but having listened to tons of ravi shankar, vilayat khan, and nikhil banerjee recordings, i rank NB well above the other two.
