Indra and Usha (Usha associated as Dawn with Savitar / Surya) are already there in many temples as Visnu whose "chatur-bhuj" (four-armed) form includes and represents the potencies of both Indra and Surya (Savitar) -- http://creative.sulekha.com/saivite-and-vaisnava-interpretations-of-brahman_497382_blog

Incidentally, the symbolism involving Visnu in terms of Indra and Savitar (Surya) indicated in the above is not random and purely imaginary, but it has the scriptural support from a number of Vedic hymns (e.g. in the Rig Veda) where Visnu is mentioned usually in the companionship of Indra and Savitar.
