he is not a good muslim . he murdered 30000 hindus in chittor AFTER the fort had been conquered . so they were murdered in cold blood , not in the heat of fighting .

in those days it was standard practice to order a general execution if a fort resisted capture and preferred to fight. (The general execution would not be ordered if the fort promptly surrendered. The reason for this was so as to set an example to any future forts which were encircled, so as to encourage them to quickly surrender rather than to fight doggedly.) in the fight against Chittor many of Akbar's men had died and he had narrowly escaped getting killed himself on two occasions. So he was in a vengeful mood. Remember also that he was very young at this time.
To give a comparison with some Hindu kings, Emperor Ajatashatru of Magadha had ordered a general massacre of the Vajjian tribes even after he had defeated them. And King Vidudabha of Kosala had carried out a general massacre of the Sakya tribe, which was the Buddha's tribe, while the Buddha was still alive. Vidudabha and Ajatashatru were also responsible for the death of their fathers. In the Arthasastra, Kautilya-Chanakya writes 'Princes are like crabs, father killers' implying that this practice of bumping off your father to grab the throne must have been fairly common amongst hindu kings. But to compare this practice again with how mughals perceived of it, Jahangir (Akbar's son) writes in his autobiography that when he was in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh he was informed of the existence of a tomb of a muslim king who had killed his own father to grab the throne. Jahangir was so incensed upon hearing this that he ordered his men to beat the tomb of the father-killer with sticks. Not being satisfied with this, Jahangir next ordered his men to dig up the remains of the patricidal king and ordered these remains to be burnt and thrown into a neighboring river.
