Parliament passes Goods and Services Tax (GST) in spite of opposition from TN MPs and CM. This tax is levied where the product is consumed not where manufactured. A car manufactured in TN and sold in UP. Tax goes to UP and not TN. TN is a primary manufacturing state while UP is a consuming state. What a clever way to plunder TN and other manufacturing (mostly non-Hindi) states.

Prices of under construction apartments will increase by 7 to 8 percent due to GST .
