May be UP should vote for congress

I must admit it is difficult for me to say that. A congress win in UP certainly provides a grand reason for that dimwit to claim the delhi throne(not that he will think otherwise even if loses).
My reasoning:
Mayawati got her chance and pretty much ran UP into ground. Mulayam did the same before. BJP split the state along religious lines and marched it backwards. Congress of the past has done its damage. But the congress of today may have a different agenda. While they will sure share the spoils of victory as UP congress leaders are staving for corrupt ill gotten wealth, there is small chance that their elf interest for more MP seats may prompt them to spur some economic growth. Center will give them tons of money. May be UP will wake up finally.
Bihar made its move to modernity under Nitish Kumar. West bengal came out of the yoke of CPM rule allowing resurgence of entrepreneurial spirit of bengalis. If UP is allowed to crawl back to civilization, India may just realize its under exploited internal demand to push its economic growth. Intrnal demand is any day a more stable growth option than fickle 'foren' investment. A renaissance in UP will allow the fruits of development to be distributed to larger parts of India.
UP may also throw up one or two muslim leaders who could help Indian muslim community take advantage of Indian economic growth.
The chance of congress to form a govt are slim but it could be a positive at this time.
