A presidential system will (likely) ensure a hindu prez for a very long time. MUSLIMS will not like it and will play the secular card against it.

Our parliament is truly representative of the glorious Indian people and is therefore, the essence of democracy. Accommodating different stakeholders' -often conflicting - interests necessarily results in inaction and drift. But there's no reason to feel bad. After all, what matters is that the process itself is democratic and every stakeholders gets to have his or her say in the matter and any decision is taken only upon reaching consensus.

This unhealthy obsession with quick, decisive actions is typical of the enemies of democracy. Tharoor's arguments against the parliament come from his love for the authoritarian regime of the Empress and the Yuvraj and is undoubtedly part of the Empress' desire to subvert the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Lastly, by dint of arguing for lesser democracy,Tharoor, like Mahathir, is hereby dubbed an idiot. EOD.
