are you saying that to stay true to her caste , she has to remain poor and lead an underprivileged life ? are dalits not supposed to try to better their lives ? a dalit who becomes rich is no longer a dalit ? 

in reality in india your caste always stays with you , whether rich or poor .

A dalit who becomes rich is no longer allowed to whine about her own personal economic status. And it will be nice if Dalits who become rich no longer use their Dalititude to keep getting free goodies.

i dont think that should stop her from writing a novel about a dalit girl in love with an upper caste boy . if english educated persons like her do not write these novels , who will ?
