India during the rule of the Great Mughals vs India during the rule of Chaddiwalahs
Akbar started from scratch. His father Humayun had bequeathed to him a relatively small kingdom which he expanded through conquests and treaties. Through correct administrative measures (i refer to Akbar's brilliant revenue minister Todar Mal), Akbar's kingdom became the wealthiest kingdom in the world at that time and one of the wealthiest kingdoms of all times.

there is not much hope that India under the chaddis will ever become an economic superpower. in fact things are bound to get worse as long as the chaddis are in power. After all, communal tensions and communal strife invariably ends up hurting the economy.
It is strange to see the shameless and incompetent Chaddis and Chaddi supporters attack the Mughals who had given India such a great world class economy (which they themselves are unable to provide).

Not to defend BJP etc. presently or put down Akbar long ago, but merely to show the serious flaws in your post which must not be ignored in comparisons between the past and now. The population of entire India during Akbar's time, about 500 yrs. ago, was 90 million, whereas the current population (2012 estimate) is well over a billion (more than 1200 million people -- the state of U.P. alone having more than 200 million people). Just imagine if Akbar had to handle and take care of so many people -- he probably would have no chance. Moreover, all the success story of Akbar, including his great / famous programs, were due to Sher Shah Suri (who started them but died prematurely, with Akbar re-implementing them and getting the credit).
